Food with B12

Vitamin B12 is found naturally in a wide variety of animal foods and is added to some fortified foods. Plant foods have no vitamin B12 unless they are fortified. NOT TRUE! You can get recommended amounts of vitamin B12 by eating a variety of foods including the following:

  • Beef liver and clams, which are the best sources of vitamin B12.
  • Fish, meat, poultry, eggs, milk, and other dairy products, which also contain vitamin B12.
  • Some breakfast cereals, nutritional yeasts and other food products that are fortified with vitamin B12. To find out if vitamin B12 has been added to a food product, check the product labels.

Plant Based Food with B12

Aloe vera is one of the only known natural vegetarian sources of Food with B12 and it contains many minerals vital to the growth process and healthy function of all the body’s systems. food with B12

  • Sea plants, such as kelp and algae, contain small amounts of B12.
  • Fermented products, like tofu and miso, also contain small amounts.

Although these plant products contain some amounts of vitamin B12, they do not contain adequate amounts to be relied up as a sole source of the vitamin, according to the Vegetarian Society. How much Food with B12 do you have to eat?

  • The dietary reference intake for an adult ranges from 2 to 3 µg per day.[14]
  • pregnant women is 2.6 µg per day and 2.8 µg during lactation periods.
  • 10 to 30% of older people may be unable to absorb naturally occurring vitamin B12 in foods, it is advisable for those 51 years old and older to consume B12-fortified foods or B12 supplements to meet the recommended intake

As you can see meat isnt the only Food with B12, So dont let that stop you from following a Strong Plant Based Lifestyle
